About Gladeburn
Gladeburn helps you find the right robot mower for your lawn, with the specs checked. The name joins a glade, a sunny clearing, with a burn, the Scots and northern English word for a stream.
What we do
- Our free tools start from your garden: its area, slope, zones and passages. The robot mower chooser matches them to the models on sale in the UK.
- The UK Robot Mower Tracker lists those models with the manufacturer's own specs, each with its source and the date we checked it.
- We explain the trade-offs plainly: boundary wire or wire-free, RTK or vision, what a slope rating really means.
- We only ever suggest daylight mowing, for the sake of hedgehogs and other wildlife.
What we don't do
- We haven't tested these mowers; we compare published specs and independent sources. We never say we've used or trialled a mower.
- We don't rate wildlife safety ourselves. We cite published research by name.
- We don't cover ride-on mowers or commercial grounds care.
- We don't build garages or do electricity maths here: where it helps, we link to a sister site that does.
How we make money
Some pages have affiliate links, marked Ad. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes which models we list or their order. Read our advertising disclosure.
Who we are
Gladeburn is written by the Gladeburn team. It's part of a small group of UK sites under shared ownership, including Plankley (building maths) and Ferncharge (portable power). When we link to a sister site, we say so.

Who runs Gladeburn
Editor: operator details go here once Jamie supplies OPERATOR_NAME, OPERATOR_ADDRESS and OPERATOR_EMAIL. Production builds refuse until then.
